Portability Note: Due to a bug in Blender, temporary files created during rendering are created in C:\tmp. When run on a standard account on many computers, the files can not be created. When run on an admin account, they are created but will be cleaned up by the launcher on exit (with any pre-existing files preserved).

BlenderCompact is distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL). This specific build incorporates the independent BlenderCompat compatibility layer developed by Alexandru Naiman to safely bypass modern OS version limits. In full compliance with distribution and attribution guidelines:

• Official Terms: You can read the primary legal copyleft text at the Official Blender License Documentation.
• Sub-Component Licenses: Blender incorporates underlying code modules licensed under various terms (including BSD, MIT, and Apache 2.0). The complete legal text can be reviewed openly inside the Official Blender License Source Directory.
• Compatibility Layer Source: The custom OS-spoofing logic used in this bundle is open-source software maintained separately under the BSD 3-Clause framework. The raw C source code files can be fully audited and inspected at the Official nalexandru/BlenderCompat Repository.
• Source Code Access: The raw, un-compiled source code files for the core engine can be directly downloaded from the Official Blender Source Repository.

🔒 Safety & Integrity Note

Because Software Forge is an independent, open-source project, we cannot afford the high annual cost of a commercial Code Signing Certificate. As a result, Windows SmartScreen may flag these downloads as being from an “Unknown Publisher.”

To guarantee that your files are safe, authentic, and have not been modified or corrupted, you can verify them manually using PowerShell:

Get-FileHash .\YourDownloadedFile.paf.exe -Algorithm SHA256

The app’s checksum when it was compiled is: 016ab40d41dfe55cda2078b113129b43bf3e38f1eefae29b08da99970d4c963a

If your PowerShell output matches this hash exactly, your file is 100% safe, authentic, and untampered with!

⚠️ Important: If the checksums do not match, do not run the executable. It means the download was corrupted or modified. Please delete the file immediately and post a comment on our forums to let us know so we can investigate right away!
